Inspired and Intentional Action

Having a life we love, especially as we get older and have more responsibilities, requires inspired and intentional action.

We can’t leave it to whim and chance. Being intentional means we also have to believe certain things about ourselves and what’s possible. We need inspiration aligned with who we are and what we desire for ourselves. Otherwise we won’t build intentional, healthy, and practical life or lifestyle habits and will instead fall for quick fixes or just feel like it’s hopeless.

This is true whether you’re building a skill to use in your career, to improve the quality of your life, for fun, or your health.

The Key Steps for Inspired Intentional Action

  • Get inspired.
  • Decide on the inspired actions to take.
  • Be intentional by planning around those inspired action (don’t leave to whims and chance).
  • Repeat.

    Is this simple? Absolutely.

    Is it easy? Not necessarily.

    Is it doable? Yes!

Will you execute it perfectly? Not likely.

And that’s okay. It’s about progress and not perfection. Give yourself the grace and space to try things, see what you are capable of, fail, adjust, and go again. That’s what sheroes do. That’s what people who choose to live epic lives do.

The images of me below are nearly 40 pounds apart. In 3 months I naturally shed 32 of those pounds and built muscle using exercise, nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle principles. I went in HOPING it was possible, began the journey and started BELIEVING it was possible, and came out the other side KNOWING it was possible.

I’ve maintained my fitness by allowing myself to take inspired intentional action towards my wellness and lifestyle goals. But it’s not just fitness that changed. Everything changed – body, mind, and spirit.

I’m creating my EPIC life and showing up to share my magic with others in a bigger way because I took inspired and intentional action for myself.

What’s possible in your life if you did that for yourself?

In yesterday’s podcast episode I talked about the Call to Adventure and what it is. Please have a listen to it. This call comes to us in different ways and times and each person’s calling is unique to who we are. If you’re feeling that nudge of a call to move from the comfort and familiarity of your everyday life, be with that feeling. See how it feels when you visualize it in your mind’s eye, see how you’re inspired to live in a new reality for yourself. Feel, see, and believe for yourself what’s possible.

You don’t have to do it alone. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Just start with step 1 and I hope what I’ve shared might help you with that.💖 I also offer mentoring.
