It’s Time to Make Money Moves and Start Saving
What savings goals do you have? Imagine what is possible when you set an intention with your money and then do it. This handy challenge graphic for a money savings challenge is by Readers Digest. I grabbed it here.
How do you use this money savings challenge?
This money savings challenge can be used different ways, depending on your goals and how aggressive you want to be. You can pick one challenge at a time or a few challenges that you can do at the same time.
Get an accountability partner or tool. If you think you might cheat yourself, have a friend do the challenge with you, but choose them wisely. You want to pick a friend who will help you stay focused and committed and not encourage you to throw away your goals.

Be honest about what you need to do, want to do, and when. Not everything is needed right now and this challenge may be a great way to highlight priorities.
The challenge has different options based on your current financial situation. The first is for anyone. Only spend what you must for a month. What you save will depend on your disposable income (the income that doesn’t go to your essential and regular bills).
If you haven’t started thinking about retirement, you can still do the 1% challenge. This could be the start of your long-term savings which will become your retirement savings.
The pantry challenge looks pretty interesting and will suit those of you who are adventurous and creative.
Let me know which ones you decided to try.
