Seeing Possibility for Success as an Indie Author

Slipping into the 3rd quarter of this year I finally saw it. Seeing possibility for success as an indie author started me on a refined path. Suddenly I understood what is possible. I had to make a choice to walk towards it and believe for it. But first I saw it in my mind’s eye. That’s where the magic begins.

There are many writers who have reached great levels of financial success. That’s amazing. I want to reach great levels of people.

When I signed up for a course in May I did the first things it suggested. The things that you can’t skip. I wanted to see if it would make a difference. I have been learning and listening to those who have come before me. Coaches who help make learning less painful.😁

Seeds of Success as an Indie Author

I’m so glad I did. I relaunched Star Jumpers and for the first time as a writer and author I made three digits in three consecutive months. One of those months will be 4 digits. It may not seem like much but considering the average author earns about $100 in a year, I am on the right track.

How? I saw what was possible, took steps towards it, and believed it was possible for me.

If you’re a writer, what do you see as possible and what steps are you taking towards it? What are you believing for? How are you making your magic?

I posted the below video in August as an example of how tweaking one thing impacted my book sales.

How a cover change impacted my book sales as an indie author – self publishing

Transparency Because We All Start Somewhere

Yes, I’m being transparent for those who are new to this. We all start at the beginning. Even though I’d written and published several books but there is still so much to learn.

If you’d asked me six months ago, this book was pretty much lifeless. However, I wanted to test what I’d learned on the book with greatest chance. I also launched my Payhip store and nearly matched sales on that platform, mostly with signed books.

I see talented people giving up earnings on their book like I’d been doing. The cover was one way I was missing out. Ther are so many pieces to being an author, starting with writing your book.

What part of being an author or writer do you find most challenging?
