The Freedom to Create

The Freedom to Create

In America many people around the country are taking a long weekend to celebrate the birth of these United States of America. But mostly it’s to be with friends, family, have barbecue and light things on fire.  It holds different meanings for many people as not all of us were actually free in 1776. But that’s not the point of this newsletter.

I want to talk a little about our freedom to create, and more specifically, to create epic lives we love. The genesis of creation is the idea. It can be a notion, not even fully fleshed out, but it’s the beginning. We have the freedom to shape those ideas through our energy and purposeful thought into tangible things.

Those ideas can serve our purpose, our dreams, our goals for happiness and love and wellbeing or they may be counterproductive to them or even neutral.

We have the freedom to choose ideas that serve our highest good and release those that don’t. But it can be easier said than done. Lifelong programming, fears, distractions, and lack of clarity can make it hard to figure out which ideas are for you and then to move forward with them.

In the audio update I share an affirmation you can use to bring more clarity into your creative process. It starts at 2:05. Give it a try in the morning and evening over the next 7 days and let me know how it goes for you.

A Lifestyle of Health and Wellness

Walking is a great way to build in physical activity and fitness into our lives, especially in midlife. While science suggests we get 8,000-12,000 steps a day, maybe just start by trying to get 500 to 1,000 more steps per day than you’re getting now. You’ll be moving forward and that’s a win.

Share a pic with me of you walking. I love nature walks myself and try to do that a couple times a week.
